This is a fun and educational video on organic and evolutionary architecture. Organic architecture was a style of modern architecture lead by the great Frank Lloyd Wright in the early 20th century that sought to blend with the environment rather than stick out from it.
Taking a closer look into the hidden geometry of nature, we find that organic architecture may have greatly benefited from the study of fractals such as the Fibonacci sequence and golden section, as these irregular geometries are found throughout all of nature.
The more contemporary architect Eugene Tsui is then discussed, whose evolutionary architecture is directly based on forms from nature, such as Fibonacci spirals. By using these natural forms as a structural blueprint, Tsui then creates designs that are theoretically impervious to earthquakes, hurricanes, fire, and other natural forces and lateral loads.
